Paid Survey Number 1
OK. Here is a site that claims you can make a tidy sum by answering paid surveys and participating in focus groups. The site owner is a woman who works from home looking after her children.
She offers a ‘free’ 60-day risk free trial (you have to pay a deposit of $49.00) in which you must complete at least 1 survey a week. At the end of the 60 day trial you email her saying whether you are pleased with the service and wait to hear whether she will accept you as a member; or say whether you are not satisfied and ask for the refund.
Suspicions:-
• I’m not sure that at the end of the 60 day trial, if you say that you are satisfied, that she will accept you as a member.
• I’m not sure either whether she will give you your refund back if you are not happy with the survey.
• As with all of these schemes I very much doubt that you can make as much money as they claim.
• Not sure whether a lot of these surveys are restricted to the US, or extend to the UK, where I am based.
Well, wish me luck, I’m signing up. $49.00 works out at about £25.00, so at this point I’m only looking to make this money back. My 60 day trial should end around 19th April 2007.
I will reveal full details of this scheme once I have more details of how it works and whether or not it is wham or scam. I will keep you updated of this scheme throughout this trial period and beyond.
