Bye Bye Blogspot. It was good while it lasted:’-(

Monday, May 28th, 2007

Well, it’s the end of the road for by free blogging days. I have finally said a sad farewell to my blogspot blog, and will be completely shutting it down, as well as shutting down my 30 minute old wordpress blog.

Transferring the posts was really not that painful. If anybody wants to try it click this link Techcounter.

Now I have to nurse my Pagerank back to health, I just hope it won’t take too long!

Bear with me.

I have to import my old blogger posts to this domain because it is badly affecting by Pagerank and will probably land me a duplicate content penalty from Google before long. I am not sure how this will work out, hopefully it will not be too painful and I will still have my posts at the end of it. Wish me luck!

Wow. Clickbank Isn’t as easy as they say!

Monday, May 28th, 2007

I should have known really. There are people who have made money from Clickbank and other affiliate networks like it but they do their homework. I have been searching and searching for a clear cut way of doing the research but it sure is a headwrecker! I am determined to make at least one sale through Clickbank but the work that is needed to make sale is full on.

First you have to choose a product, then you have to work out and decide how  to market that product, then you have to decide if the company’s ‘landing page’ is professional enough to generate a sale; and if not, whether its worth building a ‘landing page’. There is a lot more to in than that and I simply haven’t got the experience to make it work efficiently at the moment. I will plug away though. I don’t give up that easily.

I have also made a sale on Ebay and have come to the conclusion that they generate hidden costs when you sell an item.  £4.20 was taken off my profits to leave me just £1.48 better off. With all the hard work put into selling that particular item I was somewhat disappointed to say the least. I am going to seek out and sell through cheaper auction sites than Ebay, I just don’t think that its worth it.

An Interesting concept – and its free!

Wednesday, May 9th, 2007

I the other day I came across a site that has developed (as far as I know) a new concept. A website that pays you to surf. If, like me you spend a reasonable amount of time just surfing the internet then it has the potential to make you some money.

The concept is that you download a toolbar (currently in beta testing) and just surf the net. The toolbar collects some of the revenue you would generate for other people and returns most of it to you. It’s a win win situation, you get money for doing what you do everyday, the management get their cut (10%), and business’ are happy because it generates interest in their products and services.

Even more exciting it that members can earn from ‘shares’ in the site. Every month members receive a share of the site revenue generated through the toolbar that month. The more people using it, the more money that goes around.

What’s more, the use of the toolbar can be converted into the company stocks. The company will issue 1 share per hour earned using the toolbar (to a maximum of 5 hours a month) and when the member account reaches the minimum payout shares will be issued. There is a potential for earning ‘dividends’ through this program. The company is in the process of being listed on the London stock exchange!!!

There is obviously a lot more too it than I can explain here. The bigger the community the better. It’s free and easy to sign up and it could generate significant rewards. The more members, the more money everybody earns, so join now and get referring!!!!

OK, here are some survey companies that I have been participating in.

Before you start signing up for these, I would suggest that you read my previous entries regarding paid surveys. It explains a little about the process and what to expect.

Firstly, for those who are living outside North America, I would not suggest using the paidsurveysetc.com link. There are too many survey companies that would not allow you to sign up for them because they are US Specific. Instead I have suggested a number of sites that I have found particularly beneficial. For those who live in North America, paidsurveys.etc would be a lot more beneficial. There are literally hundreds of sites that you can sign up for, too many to list here. Having said that, I have no idea about which ones would make you most money as I have not had the opportunity to test them out. I have signed up for loads and have only had surveys from a handful of them; however, I did break even with the money I have earned.

The link is http://marie17183.paidetc.hop.clickbank.net/

For those who are outside North America, here is a list of survey sites that I have found beneficial

Lightspeed Consumer Panel - http://gb.lightspeedpanel.com/member/logout.html. I have had a number of surveys from this site. Surveys are paid by points and are redeemable via Paypal by cash or for gifts. There is also entries into a monthly prize draw which you are automatically entered into if you are offered a survey to complete but don’t meet the screener.

MyVoice Surveys -http://www.myvoice.co.uk/index.php?option=com_wrapper&Itemid=70 Sends occasional surveys. Worth signing up for because you get points for completing the profile surveys

Pure Profile – bit if a weird one this, but you basically click a button and earn 5p doing it. The thought being that the more you click the more likely you are to get surveys. Its not taxing or time consuming, so you may as well.

Ciao Surveys - By far the best survey site I have come across. Unfortunately it’s only open to UK residents, but it’s good. You don’t just make money from taking online surveys, you can make money by writing reviews and other fun stuff as well. Well worth the effort!

So there you have it. Enough to get started with at least. It costs nothing to sign up for and it could make you some money. Just be patient though, it won’t happen over night.

Make sure that when you sign up for these survey sites that you fill in as many profile surveys as possible. The soon you do that, the sooner you will start getting surveys through.

It is very advisable to set up an independent email account as well (there are plenty of free email providers). Its easier to keep track off!

Happy earning!!!!!!

Earnings report on surveys

Monday, May 7th, 2007

Well it has gone better than expected. Last month I made £9.60 on paid surveys. It doesn’t look much, but I had only started joining the survey sites mid month, and coupled with the amount of profile surveys that had to be filled out (very time consuming) its pretty good going.

This month was even better. I made £22.08 and I didn’t take all the surveys that I was offered. This makes a total earning of £31.68, which has paid off my initial investment and more.

The surveys do get a bit boring at times, especially the ones that take 20+ minutes to complete, but the rewards for the longer ones are reflected in the amount of time it takes to complete.

I will have some recommendations for people who want to try this out, so watch this space!

Surveys-Slow but good

Sunday, May 6th, 2007

The surveys are starting to pick up which is good. I can’t tell you how much I’ve made because I actually don’t know. I not very good of keeping track of these things. As I mentioned in my other blog one site I was particularly happy with is Ciao. It’s only for UK residents but it’s pretty decent as far as it goes.

I have started up another site (of the Book Wiz mentality) that sells movie and TV downloads. Its been up for about three weeks and yes there has been no sales as yet. However, there is actually the means to generate traffic which there was not with the Book Wiz. The only thing is that I WON’T be using Clicks2you!
