Get paid to write articles.

Tuesday, October 14th, 2008

I have found a site where you can get paid to write articles. You can write on any topic you wish, submit it and once it is published your account will be credited. Different topics have different pay rates ranging from $3 -4 dollars. There are also jobs you can take in the market place and the minimum cash-out is $25.

This is a better option for those who want a guaranteed fee for submitting their article rather than having to rely on the revenue from ad clicks. The site also encourages you to increase your publisher score for a quicker review.  The more articles you submit the higher your publisher score. Leaving comments on other articles also counts.

This is a relatively new site and does not seem as big as sites such as Helium. It does however pay you a small fee for your efforts. If you want to get paid to write articles head over to Informative Post and sign up. It’s free!

The Casualties of War

Wednesday, September 17th, 2008

Well, after the shock collapse of Lehman Brothers it would seem that nothing is safe in this financial war. It is not the big bosses that i’m worried about, its their minions - their secretaries, administrators, desk staff and the like - the soul blood of their business that suffer. They don’t get multi-million pound packages that will see them through Christmas and beyond, they may not even get the pay that they are owed. These people are the true casualties of this war.

I am also one of those casualties. I lost my job three weeks ago after working in my organization for two years. I wasn’t surprised. I worked as a legal assistant in a Conveyancing (residential property)  law firm. We all saw it coming and to be honest I was amazed that we had survived for so long. At least the firm didn’t collapse, its just a worrying time for the survivors as this time of year is traditionally quiet. I am in no doubt that there will be more job losses before the year is out. I was lucky it was a redundancy, they are usually up for yearly massacres!

My friend also lost her job last week after the collapse of XL. This is indiscriminate in the industries it targets. Mine was always a ticking time bomb, banking also; but travel?

So where from here? Well i’m using this time to recharge my batteries and enjoy the time off to concentrate on my Internet business and consider a new career path.  Law is not for me anymore, I have worked in too many law offices to realize that they are the most brutal employers you could ever work for. I am grateful for the years of experience but I have wised up to the way they operate. Accountancy seem the best way forward. I can run my own business once I have the basic knowledge. Now, I must stop being lazy and actually start applying for some jobs.

Another precious life.

I have been following little Kahlilla Donahoo’s story since she was diagnosed with neuroblastoma - a rare and aggressive childhood cancer- in 2005. She sadly died last night. She was just five years old and fought a brave and dignified battle. This is such an awful disease for which there are very few survivors.

Kahlilla I am devastated that you are gone, but pleased that you are no longer suffering. Rest in peace little one.

Hanging in there

Well, after what seems like forever I have finally made my first affiliate commission. It’s a recurring one at that, $20.00 a month. OK, OK, it’s not as if its big bucks, but it came after a lot of hard work so I am thrilled that it paid off.

Learning the tricks of what makes a sucessful Internet Marketer has taken a long time and I am still not there yet. There is such a lot to learn still. I would not have been able to make it this far without the help of the Wealthy Affiliate University.  These guys are the real deal.

Find paid online surveys in the UK

Saturday, June 28th, 2008

You may have heard that you can get paid for online surveys in the UK. You may think that it’s a scam and most of the programs out there are. Not in the fact that there is no such thing as paid online surveys in the UK; more in the fact that a lot of these programs over hype the amount you usually get paid to fill them in.

The Lowdown.

You can get paid online surveys in the UK and a lot of other countries. I have come across a lot of sites that have said there is no point buying into these programs because you can always find the information for free elsewhere. I have also found that to be true, but there are other survey companies that are hard to find unless you buy these programs. It has taken me literally weeks to come across the survey companies that the survey programs have on their list. If you want to have these survey companies at your fingertips then it is best to buy a survey company.

The Highlights.

I bought PaidSurveysEtc thinking that it was going to be another one of the money wasting programs. I was pleasantly surprised. After logging on I found 6 pages full of companies to sign up for. Whilst a majority of them were for residents of the US and Canada, there were still plenty available for those wanting to take paid online surveys in the UK.

The Downside

It takes a long time to sign up for the survey sites. A lot of them involve signing up and then answering ‘profile surveys’. This is a time consuming effort, and then you have to wait for the surveys to come through. At first there weren’t that many surveys coming through, now I have too many, so it does happen eventually.

Another thing you will need to consider is whether to sign up for survey sites that only offer cash incentives or whether you would be happy being entered into a prize draw after completing a survey. All I would say is don’t automatically dismiss the prize surveys; I won three times – one prize worth $50.00, one worth $25.00 and one $100.00. These can be worth it!

In Conclusion

Whilst it is worth bearing in mind that the figures quoted on the sale page are over inflated, they are not far off what could be earned. A survey worth £1.25 for a 15 minute survey is £5.00 per hour. OK, it’s not exactly minimum wage, but it’s still extra money and a lot of the surveys I have taken are actually worth a lot more that this.

Although it takes some time for the surveys to come through, I managed to pay off the cost of the program within a couple of weeks, and that was even when I didn’t do every survey that was sent to me. If you are willing to give it a go then visit PaidSurveysEtc. There is a 100% money back guarantee so you can try it risk free for 8 weeks and if you don’t like it then you can ask for your money back. You can do paid online surveys in the UK. It costs  $34.00 with a coupon cost  with a number of  options  for paying.

Still as busy as ever

Sunday, June 22nd, 2008

Yep, i’m still going and nope, no commission yet but the stuff that I am learning would never have been possible had it not been for Wealthy Affiliate. Before I would just launch into a Pay Per Click campaign and thinking I knew it all I ultimately ended up spending way too much on my campaigns. Wealthy Affiliate teaches you the tricks you need to know to get you those visitors and not end up bankrupt. If you don’t have money to be spending on the Pay Per Click there are free methods you can use that work equally well, if not better, than Pay Per Click campaigns.

I have been promoting products using the free methods and it is slowly working. The number of visitors to my sites are increasing day by day and I feel that a sale is not too far away. Fingers Crossed.

On a brighter note I introduced a friend to Wealthy Affiliate three weeks ago and she has already made three sales worth over $100.00. Am I jealous? Hell yeah, but I am also very happy for her because she was such a skeptic. She is also a lot better at understanding things than me. I have difficulties in understanding instructions - I learn by doing - which takes a lot longer to get results, it just means that when I do get that commission it will all be worth it.
