Comment Policy
I welcome comments, and this is a ‘Do Follow’ blog, however there are a few rules of mine that you need to be aware of:-
- I have the right to moderate comments. Yep, that means I can strip html hypertext links from the main comment body (so don’t even try and put anchor text links in here), and even remove the URL submitted in the form if I feel that the site is not in keeping with my moral views or that is really has nothing much to do with this site.
- WOULD-BE SPAMMERS -try to make a little bit of an effort with the comments. I don’t condone spamming in any way, and making blatant one line wonders do not fool me. By making GOOD comments it is hard for me to distinguish genuine comments from spammy comments; so your life will be a lot easier if you don’t spam. If you keep in line with the post and general theme of the site, and CONTRIBUTE to the post and comments as a whole, I am inclined to accept the comment as genuine. GET IT! Please bear in mind that any links to questionable sites or content won’t make it past moderation. So use your time wisely.
- Big NO NO sites. No matter how good your comments are, or how well you have managed to pull to wool over my eyes; I WILL NOT let you link to questionable or illegal sites or content. This includes any Gamblings sites, ANYTHING to do with finance (loans, credit cards etc), definately NOT porn sites; and any ILLEGAL site linking (really, there is no need to elaborate here) will lead to you and your link being reported to the relevant authorities. By the way, the types of sites mentioned above are non-exhaustive, and I will judge whether the site being linked to is questionable or not.
- NO HATING – There have been instances on other sites where commenters have become personal with their views. Sure, everybody has a right to their opinion, it is what makes the Internet what it is; and I so allow healthy debate in the comments. BUT, hating on someone crosses the line. ANY personal vendetta or bullying or anything like that will not make it past moderation. Some sites do not moderate comments, and they have a right to do that, but this is MY site and I am not happy about things like that. There are ways to put your point across that does not have the potential to hurt someones feelings. We are all adults, let’s behave like it.
